Individual and Couples Therapy in New York City

You might find yourself here because you are at a crossroads in your life. You might be struggling to understand what it all means. You might be feeling worried, anxious, depressed, stressed, confused or afraid.

Perhaps you are newly dating or married. Having a baby. Getting ready for a big move or a new job. Maybe you have just suffered a very painful loss. I am here for you.

When people have a space to talk, they can develop insight and understanding that helps them find peace and connection in their lives. They also identify the unconscious scripts and rules they carry that impact the relationships they have with themselves and others.

I provide a space where you can recognize the patterns that are keeping you stuck and find ways to move forward so that you can have increased self-awareness, greater flexibility in all parts of your life, feel less stuck in old patterns, and have the ability to live in a new way.

Benefits of Therapy

After working with me, people find they are able to make clearer choices in their relationships, careers, and families, others find that they leave with a new way of connecting with people by communicating better, setting boundaries, and understanding what they want in relationships.

When you have this new relationship with yourself it helps you to have a new way of relating to other people. And this is incredibly healing and freeing.

Couples and Families

I’m passionate about helping couples improve their relationships.

I help you improve your communication and understand patterns and differences so you can strengthen your connection and build a partnership filled with meaning.

I work with couples who are partnered, dating, engaged, and married. I’m affirmative of all relationship configurations and committed to helping you live in the way that feels best for you.

I also love working with families with adult children. When one member of the family has been in therapy previously, it can be helpful to have everyone come together to better make sense of a new, often shifting, family dynamic. I take pride in helping all parties be heard and to communicate clearly. I do this to allow you to move away from past rifts and patterns into new ways of understanding each other where everyone feels heard and respected.

Dancers

I’m particularly passionate about working with dancers. I danced in a pre-professional ballet studio before exploring other styles and continued dancing through college, where dance was one of my majors. Dancers have unique mental health needs that can often go unaddressed, and it can be hard to find someone who understands what your life is like. Whether you are deciding if you want to go pro, out there working, or thinking about winding down, I can be there in the wings with you as you figure out how to dance your best and take care of yourself.
